The Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 has been out for awhile now, but we still can't get enough of that engine. The flat-plane crank Voodoo 5.2-liter V-8 makes a wonderful noise more akin to an Italian exotic than a normal muscle car, and it sounds right at home lapping the Green Hell.

This video, originally uploaded to YouTube in 2017, shows a GT350 driver setting a quick lap at the Nordschleife, recorded with a microphone mounted near the exhaust. It's not a full-on maximum attack drive (this is a tourist session, after all), but it's still fun to listen to.

That engine revs all the way to 8250 RPM, and makes 526 horsepower without the help of forced induction. It's a true gem, unique in the world of turbocharging and hybrid assistance. For this reason, the GT350 has our full support.
