Tommi Mäkinen is one of the greatest rally drivers ever. He's taken four world titles, and even got a car named after him. Why not kick back for the next 10 minutes and watch him in his prime?

Mäkinen started his professional WRC career in 1987 at the wheel of a Lancia Delta HF, but it wasn't until he moved to a factory seat with Mitsubishi in 1994 that he started winning championships. He swept the title spots from 1996 to 1999 using Lancer Evolutions, and drove up until 2003. These clips are just a small peek into the Finnish driver's immense skill behind the wheel.

Of course, just because Mäkinen isn't driving anymore doesn't mean he's stepped away from rally. In fact, it's the opposite. In 2016 he became team principal for Toyota's WRC team, Gazoo Racing, which took the world championship in 2018 with Sébastien Ogier behind the wheel.
