Future Electric Vehicles Coming 2023-2028

Acura is bringing its ZDX nameplate back in 2024 to represent the brand's first electric car, an SUV based on Honda's own Prologue, which uses General Motors tech. Acura has yet to release specs, but photos of a camouflaged test mule give us an idea of what to expect.

Alfa Romeo confirmed the next-generation Giulia sedan, coming in 2025, will be all-electric. Our colleagues at Car and Driver expect the top-level Quadrifoglio version will make around 1000 hp—a big step up from the current car's 507 horses.

The Apple Car, codenamed Titan, has been rumored for years now. Development has reportedly been going on for nearly a decade, though there's still no sign of what it'll look like. The latest rumors point to a 2026 debut, though.

While the A6 e-tron you see here is a concept, Audi says it depicts a design much closer to the production than we initially thought. Set to ride of the VW Group's Premium Platform Electric (PPE), it'll get 800-volt architecture and likely achieve over 400 miles per charge.

Remember Buick? It still makes cars for the U.S., even though most of its revenue now comes from foreign markets like China. Its first electric car, aptly named Electra, is a handsome-looking crossover that's already for sale overseas.

The Celestiq is Cadillac's attempt at going up-market to compete with the likes of Mercedes-Maybach, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce. It's an ultra-long sedan with a distinctive design and a price tag north of $300,000.

Canoo is yet another EV startup from California on its way to produce segment-breaking vehicles. Its first car, dubbed simply the Pickup Truck, looks unlike anything else on the road right now. Production is expected to begin in 2024.

Canoo's second planned production vehicle, the Lifestyle Vehicle, uses the same fascia as the pickup, but uses a van-like body. It's closest we've seen so far to our roads becoming stuffed with emotionless egg-shaped transportation boxes.

The new Chevy Blazer might not be as off-road-focused as it once was, but we're still into it... mainly because the new electric version has an SS trim with 557 horsepower on tap, enough to smoke pretty much anything else in the company's lineup to 60 mph.

Chevrolet's Equinox EV is the far more tame solution to the EV crossover question, with conservative but futuristic looks and 250 miles of range in base form, all for around $30,000.

Chevy's first electric Silverado is its most important vehicle in years, set to compete against the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Ram 1500 REV, but also newcomers like the Rivian R1T and eventually, the Tesla Cybertruck. With up 450 miles of range available, we have high hopes.

Chevrolet confirmed back in 2022 it is developing a fully electric Corvette. The company has yet to release any details on the car, or say whether it will be a C8 trim or a variant of the next-generation C9. Either way, it's massive news for the sports car space.

Chrysler hasn't revealed a new car in ages. That's set to change with its first electric car. Originally the Airflow, shown here as a concept, was set for production by 2025. But that's since changed, with the company moving away from the design and changing the name.

We might have already seen it in a teaser

Dodge has relied heavily on its line of tire-melting V-8 muscle cars for years, but the electric revolution means it needs to develop a new kind of muscle. Enter the Charger Daytona SRT concept, complete with a shiftable transmission and a synthesized V-8 soundtrack. A production version is expected by the end of 2023.

Honda has been a bit behind the times when it comes to electric cars in the U.S., though that's set to change with the Prologue. Using parts and battery designs from General Motors, the EV crossover is set to go on sale by the end of 2023.

Faraday Future has had a long and challenging road to producing its first car, the FF91. We rode in a prototype all the way back in 2017, and since then, the company's faced multiple bouts of insolvency and funding woes. But the California-based startup promises deliveries in 2023. We'll just have to continue to wait and see.

The Fat 500 went fully electric in 2020, and for a minute, we didn't expect the company to bring the tiny hatch back to America. But in 2021 Fiat confirmed the new 500 would be coming to the States starting in 2024.

Fisker has yet to release many details on its next car, the Pear, but we know it'll be the smallest vehicle in the company's lineup, and be priced at just over $30,000. Fisker plans to build the five-seat crossover in Ohio, and start production in 2024.

The Sierra EV might not be as ridiculous as GMC's other electric pickup, the Hummer EV, but it's equally impressive in other ways. When it goes on sale next year in Denali Edition 1 form, it's expected to have 754 hp and deliver 400 miles of range on a single charge... for a price of nearly $110,000, that is.

The Ioniq 7 will be Hyundai's full-size EV crossover, expected to be sized similarly to the three-row Palisade. The car you see here is a concept, though we expect most of the design to carry over into production. We should see over 300 miles of range, too.
